But it’s the laurel oil content that is important and gives the beneficial properties recognized by dermatologists as an effective cleanser that works wonders. At 25% Laurel Berry Oil, this Authentic Aleppo Soap is the most commonly used and can easily be used by the whole family, but 25% Laurel may be too concentrated for newborns and babies under 1-year-old (for our youngest, some dermatologists recommend the use of no greater than 5% Aleppo Soap, which we offer in our range). Aleppo Soap can be used to wash, shampoo, shave, or bath without need of synthetic ingredients or additional bottles in the bathroom.

Alépia Authentic Aleppo Soap is made cut into the traditional cube bricks and dried (gradually reducing the water content in an aging process) creating that characteristic golden brown outside while the inside remains green – forming the basis of the much sought after long-lasting hard soap that Aleppo Soap is known for. Brown or green, the entire soap is enjoyed – the harder outside is just the effect of aging first and will last longer than the fresh inside with a higher water concentration that remains green.
