Sugar cane is the raw material for Bagasse. It is the residual fiber mass that is left after extracting the sugar from the sugar cane. It is thus a renewable resource, replacing traditional paper, plastics and foam products.
A big advantage of bagasse is that it decomposes in composting plants within 120 days, in contrast to the plastic which takes 1000 x longer!
yet the material can withstand up to 90 degrees hot food / drink.
Bagasse can be used for both cold and hot, as well as both in the refrigerator and microwave. It is not suitable for freezing.
Suztain bagasse products are all made without fluorine coatings (Teflon).
The packaging, like the rest of the product, is 100% plastic-free. The cardboard can of course be recycled.
Here you get 12 deep plates, perfect for soup, noodles and the like. They are produced at a socially responsible factory near sugar cane fields in China and transported by ship to Denmark.
